Luck O' The Irish Front

INTRODUCTION: The entire existing text of my attempted...novel?...Luck O' The Irish. I can't believe I wrote FORTY PAGES of this! I don't even REMEMBER writing it! Well...vaguely I do. All I can recall is that I wanted to write a funny cheery story about life at my fictional college, Little Rock University, featuring my character Ritzie O'Brien in a prominent role. Plot? I'm guessing I'll remember it as I go along. Though it likely didn't have much; I just wanted a funny cheery college life story. *shrug* Take note that my college-life fiction comes across more like high school life, probably because I had no concept of what college life was like. I actually thought colleges had LOCKERS. And CLASS HOURS.

I was in a transitional phase when I wrote this, as I was slowly phasing out of emphasizing the "furry" aspect of my writing, and trying to present my characters as more human. Someone to whom I'd shown a drawing of Luther Broderick in his dog form had criticized it ("The dog is a rapist?? He's ugly!"), and this wounded me so much that I covered up the fact that my characters are not human; it's only been since going online that I've started to slowly reveal this again, though I STILL no longer emphasize it in my writing--who the hell would take Minot seriously knowing that all the characters are dogs??

Anyway...this is written in a composition book upon whose cover my brother kindly wrote "The Day In The Life Of A Grain Of Dirt" (thanks, Eric), oh, but not before putting "De-" before "Composition." *rolling eyes* The title page features a shamrock/clover with three leaves, but aside from that there is no illustration for this story. It has some scribbled student quotes inside so I can date it positively from high school (1991-95), likely earlier rather than later.
