INTRODUCTION: A very stupid poem from my Egyptian days. Dated 9/9/90, which places it in junior high.

"I'll Be There"

When the days are cold and all goes wrong,
When the days grow dark and the nights are long,
Be assured that I am there.

When you have no hope because all of it is gone,
And when the fearsome storm rages on and on,
Don't worry because I'll be there.

Whether you can see me or whether you can't,
It doesn't matter if you can't see me anywhere.
Because through the fear and through the cold,
I'll be there, and you should know I care.

The sun will shine again and the storm will cease,
And the whole wide world will be at peace,
Because I am there.

When it seems that no one can care,
And loving and warmth is who knows where,
You don't need to worry; I'm always there.
