City Of The Sun (Original Draft) Back

[Back cover text:]

CITY of the SUN
Rachel H. [last name omitted]

The goddess Isis is seeking to learn something so secret it is known to only three people. Mankind is rebelling against the sun god Ra. Set is scheming, and Hathor is tracking down the fabulous Akhekh creature into Sokar's territory. [Note--eh, oops!! Remember my RPG profile of the Akhekh, in which Hathor's interest in this creature was given as the reason behind the enmity between her and Sokar, and I said that wasn't so? Well...hm. Looks like I kept hold of that idea longer than I thought. I honestly forgot about this whole plot point--as is obvious, seeing as the story of the Akhekh never made it into the finished set of City Of The Sun stories! Oops! Well...it's an idea. Perhaps I'll put it on the back burner for now.] Here is a collection of short stories as told by Khenti Amenti the wolf to his audience of four children. They are the tales of great battles, of loves won and lost, of magical moonbeams, mysterious creatures, and fantastic beings with amazing powers. Here are the stories of Thoth, Selket, and Ra, and their companions, the gods of wind, fire, and overall magic, the great deities of the City of the Sun.

If you enjoyed this book, here are others:

Akhenaton and Nefertiti
Osiris
