Rainlights

Rainlights

The sky is lit with fragile stars,
Falling from clouds in torrents bright;
Striking the hoods and tires of cars,
Catching the town in colored light.

Neon the drops flow down the street,
Streaming past curbs and down dark holes;
Splashing at the sharp tap of feet,
Dying in swirls of lost rainbows.
